How do I add a shared folder to my drive?

Option 1: Find the shared folder/file in your drive
  • Go to drive.google.com.
  • On the left, click Shared with me.
  • Click the files or folders you want to add to your drive.
  • In the top right, click Add to my Drive Add to My Drive.
  • Click Move To.
  • Choose the folder you want to add to.
  • Click Move here.


  • Option 2: Add shared folder/file through a shared link
  • Click on the shared folder/file
  • In the top right, click Add to my Drive Add to My Drive.
  • Open your drive and you will see the shared folder/file in the root of your drive
  • Select the folder/file and click "move to" and move to the desired location
